When out on Lake Powell it is important to be prepared and have all the supplies that you need. Whether going our for a day, a weekend, or a full week, being prepared ensures you will have the best time possible.
The first thing that you should have on hand at all times is good sunscreen. We recommend 45 SPF or higher. We recommend sweat/water proof sunscreen to help reduce the need for frequent re-application. The major burn times of the day are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; apply regularly during these times.
Have plenty of water. Lake Powell is in a very arrid region and dehydration can come fast. STAY HYDRATED.
Have extra gas for the boat and/or waverunner, its better to have too much rather than not enough.
If you're spending the night out on the lake, make sure you have all the camping gear you WILL need such as a lighter, firewood, tents and blankets. It's good to pack "back ups" to the essentials (lighters, batteries, flashlights, etc.)
Food and snacks are a must. You use a lot more energy out on the Lake then you may think and it's good to have some snacks on hand.
